Chronic Kidney Failure on cats

Animal: Cat
Breed: Non pedigree

Pet Symptoms: Rocky has CKD which was diagnosed last week. He has received treatment (stated below) but is still unwell i.e. reduced appetite and thirst, some discomfort, high temperature, apathy and lethargy. I need a second opinion as I’ve since researched that several treatments below need more time to work i.e. drip treatment and benazepril can actually increase creatine levels in the blood.

Our Advice: The treatment for chronic kidney failure is fluids if the cats are dehydrated kidney supplements such us Rubenal and we recently started using new medication Semintra specially designed for kidney failure instead of Fortekor (benazepril) indicated for kidney and heart failure in cats.
