Cats Renal Failure

Animal: Cat
Breed: Siamese Seal Point

Pet Symptoms: Hi our Siamese cat is getting on a bit he is 18 seal point, always been a thin cat, but he is really thin now and not eating food he used to like. More worrying his breath is foul, really bad which was never the case. although he sleeps a lot he is still active and not in any pain, can you help our old boy.

Our Advice: If Blue have good teeth sometime cats go off their food have smelly breath and loose weight if they are in renal failure. I would advise you to contact your vet and they will take blood of Blue to check his kidneys thyroid glands and liver. If this is normal sometime cats go off food if they have pancreatitis or neoplasia (tumour) somewhere in the body.
